1. This transaction turned out great, but I would caution that when you're buying something that runs on replaceable batteries you should be sure there is no leakage or corrosion. In this case, the item actually shipped with 30-year-old batteries in it and they were leaking. Seller should have checked, of course, but I should have noticed no pictures of the open battery chamber. Fortunately there was no permanent damage; I could clean everything with vinegar no metal had corroded, and it works! 10-01-23
